Women’s Swimming & Diving Falls to Adelphi

Pioneers Suffer 133-98 Defeat

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (4-3) was defeated by visiting Division II Adelphi (3-1), 133-98, Dec. 8.

Junior Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) placed first in the 100 free (58.67), and the 200 free relay team of Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn), Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional), Ruth Midence (Prospect Park, N.J./Country Prep), and Gabrielle Porcaro (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) posted a winning time of 1:55.84.

Junior Katie Jeon (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) won the one-meter optional dive (198.15).

Sophomore Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touched second in the 200 IM (2:29.84) and the 100 back (1:05.71).

William Paterson will go on the road to face Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7:00 p.m.
