Women’s Swimming & Diving Defeats Maritime

Pioneers Earn 107-69 Victory

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (3-2) defeated visiting Maritime (2-4), 107-69, Dec. 4.

The Pioneers had three double winners. Senior Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) placed first in the 1,000 free (12:25.71) and the 500 free (6:02.08). Sophomore Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) won the 200 IM (2:29.96) and the 100 back (1:06.99). Junior Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) posted winning times in the 50 free (27.11) and the 100 free (59.09).

Senior Kerry Doris (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) placed first in the 100 breast (1:18.16) and junior Katie Jeon (Fort Lee, N.J. / Fort Lee) placed first in the one-meter dive (132.10).

William Paterson will face FDU-Florham at Wightman Pool on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 6:00 p.m.
