NEW YORK, N.Y. – William Paterson improved to 2-1 this season with a 116-86 women's swimming victory at Baruch (0-1) Oct. 28 (all distances in meters).

Senior Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) earned a pair of victories in the 400 (5:24.97) and 800 (11:06.63) frees. Freshman Giuliana Trapani (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) also was a double winner, registering victories in the 50 (29.47) and 100 (1:04.68) frees.

Junior Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) touched first in the 100 fly (1:16.11), and freshman Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), junior Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East), Mendoza and Trapani won the 200 medley relay (2:12.81).

William Paterson will compete at Purchase Monday, Nov. 1, at 6:00 p.m.
