Amanda Sheehan (Boonton, N.J./Boonton) in the first five minutes of the game, giving the Pioneers a quick lead. The Rangers evened the contest in the 29th minute on a shot from the center by Mary Esposito that zipped past the Pioneer goalie.

Jaclyn Bertos (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) resulted in the tying goal in the 56th minute, as Bertos was able to sweep the ball into the goal from the center of the circle.
Three consecutive shots in the 57th minute by Drew offensive players threatened to give the Rangers a decisive lead, but the Pioneer defense held, keeping the game tied. Kati Eggert's hard drive from the deep left wing gave the Rangers the go-ahead goal with 4:15 on the clock.

Meghan Trivett (Highlands, N.J./Middletown North) recorded nine saves in the loss, while Drew's Christiana Calini made three first-half saves and Lauren Fasano picked up the victory with her second-half play.
