POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Sophomore Michelle Marabondo (Kenvil, N.J./Roxbury) provided an early goal, but William Paterson (9-2-4) had to settle for a 1-1 double-overtime women's soccer tie at Vassar (9-4-1) Oct. 18.

Marabondo launched a shot from the right side of the pitch in the 17th minute that hit the left post and spun into the back of the net for her 10th goal of the season.

Just 12 minutes later, the Brewers got the equalizer when Vassar was awarded a penalty kick that Carolyn Demougeot finished.

The reigning New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week, freshman Alyssa Falduto (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) made five saves in goal for the Pioneers. Lexi Hutton made four stops for Vassar.

The Pioneers will play at Drew Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m.
