Box Score

RADNOR, PA. – Thanks to goals by sophomores Heidi Rogers (River Vale, N.J./Pascack Valley) and Sophie Hart-Ruderman (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia), the William Paterson women's soccer team (1-1) earned its first victory of the year with a 2-0 triumph against the host Cavaliers at the Cabrini College Soccer Festival Sept. 4.

Rogers broke the scoreless deadlock during the 66th minute when she knocked in a rebound off the crossbar, collecting her first career points as a Pioneer in the process. Hart-Ruderman tacked on an insurance goal eight minutes later when she scored from the middle of the box.

Senior Meaghan Baker (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) made three saves in goal for her eighth career shutout, moving her into a tie for third place on the WP charts. Cabrini's Gianna Porretta made nine stops as the Pioneers out-shot the Cavaliers by a 23-5 count.

William Paterson will face Widener Saturday, Sept. 5, at 12:30 p.m. in the finale of the Cabrini College Soccer Festival.
