THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (3-1) earned a 117-104 victory at SUNY Maritime (0-1) Nov. 3.
Sophomore
Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) won the 50 (27.14) and 100 (1:00.28) frees, while junior
Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) touched first in the 500 (6:07.48) and 1,000 (12:30.27) frees.
Senior
Giana Albruzzese (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) won the one-meter (132.30) and three-meter (168.65) dives, and classmate
Caitlin Rotondo (Brick, N.J./Methacton) finished first in the 200 IM (2:27.56) and 100 breast (1:14.71).
Sophomore
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) placed first in the 200 free (2:15.47), and classmate
Stephanie Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) won the 100 fly (1:08.58). The 200 medley relay team of
Tara Graham (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills), Rotondo, Smith and Kuchin won in a time of 2:03.83, and the 200 free relay team of Smith,
Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn), Mendoza and
Christine Uporsky (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) posted a winning time of 1:53.06.
The Pioneers will host Lehman Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1:00 p.m.
