GLENSIDE, Pa. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (5-1) won its fifth straight meet with a 100-92 victory at Arcadia (1-3) Nov. 18.
Sophomore
Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) set a new pool record in the 200 IM (2:26.54), and also registered a victory in the 100 breast (1:12.8). Senior
Caitlin Rotondo (Brick, N.J./Methacton) was victorious in the 50 (26.9) and 100 (59.05) frees, and junior
Tara Graham (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) won the 100 back (1:10.12). Sophomore
Stephanie Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) finished first in the 100 fly (1:07.48), and junior
Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) had a personal-best time of 11:55 in the 1,000 free, but was just out-touched at the wall in one of the night's best races.
Donna Balagtas (Clifton, N.J./Clifton), Kuchin, Smith and Rotondo won the 200 medley relay (2:00.99), and
Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn), Smith, Graham and
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) finished first in the 200 free relay (1:53.65).
William Paterson will return to action Saturday, Dec. 5, at FDU-Florham at 1:00 p.m.
