Pipitone Scores Twice as No. 19 Men's Soccer Stays Unbeaten

Pioneers Defeat Rowan, 4-0

Sophomore Ambrogio Pipitone scored twice in a 4-0 WP victory.

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Sophomore Ambrogio Pipitone (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) scored twice to lead the No. 19 William Paterson men's soccer team (7-0-2, 2-0-1 NJAC) to a 4-0 victory at Rowan (3-6, 0-3 NJAC) Sept. 27.

Pipitone found the back of the net with an unassisted strike at the 12:00 mark, his fourth goal of the season. Sophomore Julian Valerio (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) converted a penalty kick in the 24th minute, his team-leading sixth goal of the year, followed by Pipitone's second goal of the night off a mishandled ball by the Profs' goalkeeper, giving William Paterson a 3-0 edge in the 26th minute. Sophomore Ryan Miller (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) later added his first career goal, unassisted, in the 74th minute to finish the scoring.

William Paterson junior goalkeeper Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) registered his fifth shutout of the year, making seven saves.

William Paterson will return home to face Rutgers-Newark Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:00 p.m.
