WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team improved to 2-1 this season with a 116-82 victory against visiting SUNY Maritime (0-2) Nov. 4.

Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was a double winner, taking first place in the 100 (56.66) and 200 (2:05.84) frees. Senior
Grace McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) finished first in the 50 free (26.09) and 100 back (1:03.21), sophomore
Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) touched first in the 500 (6:00.40) and 1,000 (12:14.91) frees, freshman
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) was the winner of the 100 fly (1:07.31), and freshman
Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) placed first in the 200 IM (2:28.00) and 100 breast (1:12.44).
William Paterson will return to action Saturday, Nov. 8, at Baruch at 11:00 a.m.
