WAYNE, N.J. – Five double winners led the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (5-1) to a 102-85 victory against Arcadia (0-3-1) Nov. 19 at Wightman Pool.
Junior
Giana Albruzzese (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany), the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Diver of the Week, took first place in the one-meter (151.65) and three-meter (135.60) dives. Senior
Grace McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) finished first in the 50 free (25.84), and had the swim of the meet in the 100 back (1:01.49). Senior
Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) won the 100 (57.03) and 200 (2:05.95) frees, freshman
Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) touched first in the 200 IM (2:27.10) and 100 breast (1:14.46), and sophomore
Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) was the winner in the 500 (6:02.22) and 1,000 (12:23.23) frees. Freshman
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic), the current NJAC Rookie of the Week, added a win in the 100 fly (1:05.69).
William Paterson will return to action Tuesday, Dec. 2, at home against NJIT at 6:00 p.m.
