MADISON, N.J. – Drew (7-4-3) scored twice during a two-minute span to defeat visiting William Paterson (10-3-1) in women's soccer action Oct. 23.

Christine Meconi got the Rangers on the board at the 27:00 mark, and Emily Weida made it a 2-0 score 29 minutes into the match. 

Sophomore Ali Ruddy (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) nearly gave the Pioneers the early advantage when senior Amanda Kurdyla (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls) played a ball through to her in the eighth minute, but Ruddy's shot hit the post. Senior Alyssa Tinari (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) had another quality chance, but a diving save denied her in the 67th minute. 

For the Pioneers, junior Meaghan Baker (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) made three saves. Ann Mularz had three stops for the Rangers.

The Pioneers return to conference action Saturday, Oct. 25, at Montclair State at 1:00 p.m.
