WAYNE , N.J. – William Paterson (12-6) has earned the top seed in the upcoming ECAC Field Hockey Mid-Atlantic Tournament, and will host eighth-seeded Catholic (11-8) in the first round Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 7:00 p.m.
The ECAC Mid-Atlantic semifinals will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 10, and the final Sunday, Nov. 11, at times and sites to be determined. The tournament consists of an eight-team field and is a play-down format.
The WP-Catholic contest will be a rematch of last year's ECAC first-round game, a Catholic 2-1 overtime victory in Washington, D.C.
Nazareth is the second seed in the Mid-Atlantic, followed by Washington & Jefferson, Montclair State, Drew, Stevens Tech, FDU-Florham and Catholic as the eight Mid-Atlantic teams.
