MAHWAH, N.J. – Sophomore Amber Scott's (Palmyra, N.J./Palmyra) goal in the 22nd minute gave the William Paterson field hockey team (11-6, 4-2 NJAC) a 1-0 victory at Ramapo (6-11, 1-5 NJAC) in the conference season finale for both schools Oct. 30.

Scott followed her own rebound after a breakaway, scoring the game's lone goal 21:56 into the contest. Pioneer goalie Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) made three saves for her sixth shutout of the season, as the Pioneers outshot the Roadrunners in the game, 8-7.

William Paterson will finish regular-season play Thursday, Nov. 1, with a home game against SUNY New Paltz at 7:00 p.m.
