NEWARK, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (6-5) lost to undefeated NYU (10-0-1), 2-0, Oct. 3 at NJIT.

NYU struck with goals in the 41st and 44th minutes to earn the victory. William Paterson had a 20-12 advantage in shots, but NYU made nine total saves to keep the Pioneers off the scoreboard, including two by the defensive field players.

Sophomore Meaghan Baker (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) made six saves for the Pioneers in goal.

The Pioneers will return to conference action Saturday, Oct. 6, at Richard Stockton at 1:00 p.m.
