UNION, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (8-9-1, 3-6 NJAC) saw its run towards a postseason berth come to an end with a 3-0 loss at Kean (8-8-2, 4-4-1 NJAC) Oct. 24 in the regular-season finale for both schools.

The Pioneers, who needed a win against the Cougars to secure a bid in the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament, fell behind in the 39th minute off a goal by Jenna Goodwin. Kean later added two goals during a 2:21 stretch midway through the second half to assure the outcome.

William Paterson goalie Meaghan Baker (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) made five saves in goal as the Pioneers, who do not have a senior on their roster, finished the season with an 8-9-1 overall record.
