NEW YORK, N.Y. (NOVEMBER 28, 2006) - The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 52-41 victory at Hunter Nov. 28.
The Pioneers won every race against the Hawks. Sophomore
Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was one of three double winners, earning victories in the 50 (26.67) and 100 (57.92) frees. Junior
Jessica Lyon (Pequannock, N.J./ Pequannock) was first in the 200 IM (2:30.8) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.47), and senior
Traci Dombrowski (Union, N.J./Union) touched first in the 200 (2:08.32) and 500 (5:59.16) frees. Senior
Colleen Takemoto (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) won the 100 fly (1:06.7), classmate
Emily Buehler (Mays Landing, N.J./Holy Spirit) touched first in the 1,000 free (12:42.12), and sophomore
Grace McKay (Fairlawn, N.J./Fairlawn) was the winner in the 100 backstroke (1:06.67).
The William Paterson men and women will host Arcadia Saturday, Dec. 2, at 1:00 p.m.
