JERSEY CITY, N.J. (OCTOBER 4, 2006) – William Paterson (5-6-1, 1-4 NJAC) dropped a 4-1 decision at No. 11 New Jersey City (10-1-1, 4-0-1 NJAC) in men's soccer action Oct. 4.

NJCU scored first with a goal in the 29th minute, but the Pioneers responded just 23 seconds before halftime when sophomore Mark Brzyzek (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) headed in a Dave Chase (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) cross, evening the score at 1-1.

The Gothic Knights later scored three unanswered goals in the final 30:03 of the match to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 matches.

Junior David Casper (Franklin, N.J./Timothy Christian) made seven saves in goal for the Pioneers.
