Box Score

POMONA, N.J. (OCTOBER 29, 2006) - The William Paterson women's soccer team (8-7-2) saw its season come to an end in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament first round, losing 1-0 at Richard Stockton (15-4-2) Oct. 29.

The Ospreys scored the lone goal of the match in the 52nd minute on a corner kick as Melissa Scully came up with the loose ball and knocked it home for her first career goal. The Pioneers had their best chance with just less than 10 minutes remaining when a ball squirted through Stockton keeper Alex Rogers' hands, but she was able to pounce on it a split second before WPU's Melissa Boka (Hamilton, N.J.Steinert) could get to it.

Sophomore Caitlin Kiernan (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) made eight saves for the Pioneers in goal.
