MILTON, N.Y. (OCTOBER 28, 2006) – Junior Danielle Herbek (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) scored twice to lead the William Paterson field hockey team (11-6) to a 3-0 victory against SUNY New Paltz (6-12) Oct. 28 in Milton, N.Y.

Herbek struck for an unassisted goal in the 24th minute, then found the back of the cage one minute later off a pass from Jodi Feriod (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) on a penalty-corner play. Sophomore Meghan Hall (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.) had the final goal for the Pioneers, converting a pass from classmate Katie Jo Cipriani (Thorofare, N.J./West Deptford) in the 33rd minute.

Senior Grace Browne (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) made one save in 62:23 for the victorious Pioneers, and freshman Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) had two stops in 7:37 in goal.

The Pioneers will finish the regular season Tuesday, Oct. 31, when they host Ramapo at 7:00 p.m.
