WAYNE, N.J. (OCTOBER 21, 2006) – Senior Jay Hooper (Franklin, N.J./Franklin) scored in the 79th minute, finishing off a 2-1 come-from-behind victory for the William Paterson men's soccer team (7-8-1, 3-5 NJAC) against Rutgers-Newark (5-10-1, 0-8 NJAC) Oct. 21 at the Pioneer Soccer Park.

The Pioneers spotted the Scarlet Raiders an early 1-0 lead when Daniel Mezzina found the back of the net just 5:25 into the match.
