WAYNE, N.J. (OCTOBER 14, 2006) - Three different Pioneers scored as the William Paterson women's soccer team (7-4-1, 3-2-1 NJAC) defeated Rutgers-Camden (8-6-1, 2-4) 3-1 Oct. 14 at the Pioneer Soccer Park.

Senior Aly Salvacion (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) broke the ice in the 10th minute, receiving a serve from Annie Willman (Tinton Falls, N.J./Monmouth) and fighting through a scramble in the box to score her third goal of the season. Sophomore Amanda Kurdyla (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls) then struck off a give-and-go from Melissa Boka (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) in the 51st minute, and the two reversed roles in the 63rd minute with Boka scoring the goal to push WPU ahead 3-0.

Freshman Jessica Reibis (Jackson, N.J./Jackson) made two saves for the Pioneers in goal, while Kurdyla played the final 13:00 and allowed one goal.

The Pioneers outshot the Scarlet Raptors 24-7.

"I thought that we played well today after a 10-day layoff," said 10th-year WPU head coach Keith Woods. "We came out and played hard and really took it to them from the outset."
