Pioneer Soccer Park

Nestled between the Sports and Recreation Center, Wightman Stadium and Century Hall, Pioneer Soccer Park serves as the home pitch for the William Paterson men's and women's soccer programs. This unique, soccer-only facility underwent a major renovation during the summer of 2016. The old grass playing surface was replaced with sport-specific artificial turf, allowing for year-round training and contests during inclement weather. New seating was installed on the west side of the facility with a capacity of 300, providing uninterrupted sight lines for an excellent view of any match. 

A brand new press box was installed during the renovation, assisting in the filming of practices and events. New fencing and protective netting was installed around the perimeter of the playing area during the renovation, and custom Pioneer Soccer wind screens were installed.

The major overhaul also included the paving and lighting of a path that runs from Pioneer Soccer Park to Pioneer Softball Field.
