WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball sophomore forward Absatu Mustapha (Somerset, N.J./Franklin) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Dec. 22.

 

Mustapha averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per contest during a 2-0 week for the Pioneers. In a 76-54 victory against Mount Saint Vincent Dec. 18, she scored a career-high 12 points, added two assists and three steals and matched her career best with seven rebounds. Mustapha then posted eight points, four rebounds and three steals while playing excellent defense against the Lightning’s top scorer during a 77-68 victory against Lehman Dec. 20.
