WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s sophomore swimmer Jimmy Sharkey was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Dec. 4.

Sharkey had an outstanding meet against Old Westbury on Dec. 2, collecting two individual wins on the day. The Hamilton native started the meet with a personal-best time in the 1,000 free, earning the win with a time of 11:27.45. Sharkey later captured the top spot in the 200 individual medley in 2:23.48.
