WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball senior guard Jason Cameron (Cliffside Park, N.J./Cliffside Park) was named William Paterson’s Pioneer of the Week for Jan. 21.

Cameron averaged 15.5 points in a pair of Pioneer wins last week. He had nine points 69-59 win at Montclair State Jan. 16, then tied his career high, pouring in 22 points in a 77-69 victory against New Jersey City Jan. 19. Cameron was 8-for-11 (.727) from the floor, including a 6-for-9 (.667) effort from beyond the arc, in a battle of the only two remaining undefeated New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) teams. He scored 17 points in the first half, sinking five of six (.833) from three-point range, to lead WP to a 70.8 (17-24) percent shooting effort during the first 20 minutes, and a 46-29 lead at the break.
