Men’s basketball senior guard Joey Spiegel (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) was named William Paterson’s Pioneer of the Week for Dec. 17.

Spiegel scored a team-best 22 points in a 77-51 victory against FDU-Florham Dec. 12, adding four assists, four rebounds and three steals. He shot 8-of-16 (.500) from the field and 4-of-8 (.500) from three-point range against the Devils, and helped lead a Pioneer defensive effort that held FDU-Florham to .310 shooting overall and .143 shooting from beyond the arc, and forced 25 Devil turnovers.
