WAYNE, N.J. – Baseball senior catcher Vin Fondacaro (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for April 8.

Fondacaro hit .444 (8-18) with a double, six RBI and a run scored, posting a .524 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage and adding three walks and a sacrifice hit.  Fondacaro went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs during a 7-2 upset win at No. 13/5 Ramapo April 4, and finished 2-for-4 and added a double and two RBI to a 6-5 victory against the Roadrunners April 5.  He was a combined 3-for-7 with a RBI and run scored during a 3-2, 2-6 split April 6 at Rowan.

William Paterson (15-6, 5-1 NJAC) will host Baruch Tuesday, April 9, at 3:30 p.m.
