WAYNE, N.J. – Softball sophomore pitcher/designated player
Kerrin Dys (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for April 1.
Dys hit .800 (8-10) with three doubles, a home run, three RBI, four runs scored, an .800 on-base percentage and a 1.400 slugging percentage at the plate last week, and registered a 5-2 complete-game victory during her only appearance inside the circle, striking out two against Drew March 27. She helped her own cause against the Rangers, going 2-for-3 and scoring a run, and later went 4-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBI and a run in a 10-1, six-inning win March 29 at Rutgers-Newark. She finished 2-for-3, hit two doubles, scored twice and drove in a run during a 10-0, five-inning victory in the night cap against the Scarlet Raiders.
William Paterson (6-8, 2-0 NJAC) will visit No. 22 Rowan Tuesday, April 2, at 3:00 p.m.
