WAYNE, N.J. – Freshman softball second baseman Christina Austin (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for March 19.

Austin hit .455 (5-11) with two runs scored and a pair of stolen bases, starting the first four games of her college career.  She went 3-for-3 with a run scored during her debut, a 6-3 victory against St. Scholastica March 17, and had a hit, walk and a run scored during an 8-6 upset of No. 25 St. Thomas March 18.
