WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball sophomore guard Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Nov. 28.
Borova averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals during a pair of victories for the No. 4/4 Pioneers last week. She contributed 19 points, four steals and a game-high six assists to a 74-63 win against New Paltz Nov. 22. In a 91-82 victory at Baruch Nov. 26, she posted 18 points, three assists and three steals. Borova has reached double figures in scoring in all five games this season, and is averaging 18.4 points and a team-best 4.6 assists per contest.
