WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s soccer senior midfielder Julian Valerio (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week for Oct. 25.

 

Valerio posted four goals and an assist during a 3-0 week for the Pioneers. He played center back for the first time in his career, helping the Pioneers post a 2-0 shutout win against St. Joseph’s-Long Island Oct. 19. Valerio assisted on the first goal and scored the second and fifth goals of a 6-0 victory against Lehman Oct. 21, and produced the third and sixth goals of a 6-1 win against Rutgers-Newark Oct. 23. That win clinched a bid to the NJAC Tournament for the Pioneers.
