WAYNE, N.J. – Men’s basketball senior guard Tim Lucas (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week March 1.

Lucas averaged 7.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals in two victories to help the Pioneers secure their 10th NJAC title. He posted five points, three rebounds, three assists and a game-high four steals during a 55-37 NJAC Tournament semifinal victory against Ramapo Feb. 24, and was a key part of a defensive effort that held the NJAC's top scoring offense to a season-low 37 points. Lucas contributed nine points, three steals and three rebounds during a 70-58 NJAC Tournament championship game victory against Richard Stockton Feb. 27, dishing out a game-high nine assists without committing a turnover in 34 minutes of action.
