WAYNE, N.J. – Women’s basketball sophomore guard BriAnna Lucas (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) was named the William Paterson Pioneer of the Week Feb. 2.

Lucas averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals as WP registered a pair of wins to extend its win streak to six games.  She shot 44.8 (13-29) percent from the field, 50.0 (8-16) percent from three-point range and 72.7 (8-11) percent from the free-throw line while helping the Pioneers register the program’s third 20-win season in the last four years (20-1).  Lucas led all players with 15 points, adding two steals, during a 60-47 victory at New Jersey City Jan. 27, and she paced the Pioneers with 27 points and three steals while dishing out a game-best six assists during a 70-67 victory at Rowan Jan. 30.  The sophomore was 6-for-12 from three-point range against the Profs.
