PITMAN, N.J. -- William Paterson senior designated hitter Trevor Haughney (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) was selected to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Baseball All-Second Team, the league office announced April 30.

An honorable-mention all-conference selection a year ago, he leads WP with a .383 batting average (fourth in NJAC), 25 RBI (tied-10th in league), .475 slugging percentage (10th in conference) and .460 on-base percentage (fifth in NJAC), adding 17 runs scored, seven doubles and two triples. A starter in 32 contests, he also has two triples (tied-sixth in league) and a team-best 16 walks (tied-ninth in conference), and rates among the NJAC leaders in hits/game (fourth, 1.44), triples/game (sixth, 0.06), RBI/game (eighth, 0.78) and walks/game (eighth, 0.50). A transfer from County College of Morris, Haughney has started 69 of 70 career contests as a two-year Pioneer, hitting .363 with 16 doubles, three triples, one home run, 42 RBI and 43 runs scored.

Sixth-seeded William Paterson (13-20-1) will play at fifth-seeded The College of New Jersey (20-17) in an NJAC Tournament elimination game Thursday, May 1, at 3:30 p.m.
