DANBURY, CONN. – William Paterson sophomore goalie Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) was named the Sept. 13 ECAC North Region Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Selected as the Sept. 12 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week, Rickerhauser posted a pair of shutout victories last week. She made seven saves during 100:00 of play for a 1-0 shootout win Sept. 7 at Scranton, and had one stop in a 3-0 win Sept. 10 against Moravian. Rickerhauser leads all conference goalies in both save percentage (.875) and goals-against average (0.47), and is tied atop the leaderboard with two shutouts.
 
WP (3-1) will put its three-game win streak on the line Tuesday, Sept. 13, at home against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m.
