Frick's buzzer beater received more votes than plays from NJIT, NYU and Sacred Heart to win the Week Two round. Each week for five weeks, four incredible college basketball plays will be nominated as the GEICO Play of the Year. Each week's winner is determined by fan voting through the official Facebook page, and the five finalists will compete in a week-long competition to determine the GEICO Play of the Year. The winner will be announced during the GEICO Best of College Basketball special that airs March 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
On Jan. 21 at home against Ramapo College, the Pioneers were trailing 71-68 with 2.9 seconds remaining in regulation. Frick came away with the rebound of a missed Roadrunner free throw and launched a shot from beyond mid-court, a buzzer beater to tie the game at 71-71. The WP Pioneers defeated the Roadrunners in overtime, 86-81, in NCAA Division III men's basketball action. To watch the play on YouTube, visit
