PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team completed the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 22 on a high note, with multiple personal best times as well as a record being set.
Freshman
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) set yet another school record by swimming the 200 back preliminary race in a staggering 1:55.19. This is Taboadela's third record this weekend as he broke the 200 IM record Feb. 20, and the 50 back Feb. 21. He went on the finish eighth in the A Final (2:01.10).
Freshman
Radoslaw Myslowski (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) swam his personal best in the 200 breast to finish sixth in the C Final, while sophomore
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) captured 19th overall in the 1,650 free (17:42.11).
Sophomore
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) put together his fastest time of the year in the 200 fly during the preliminary race (2:02.07) and later finished seventh in the C Final (2:03.20).
Juniors
Nicolai Robinson (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge) and
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional), senior
Bobby Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) and Taboadela made up the 400 free relay team, finishing fourth in the B Final (3:18.53).
