PITMAN, N.J. -- William Paterson sophomore
Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) earned her second straight New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tennis Player of the Year award, garnering all-conference singles honors in the process. She also joined senior
Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) on the All-NJAC Doubles Team for the second consecutive year, the league office announced Nov. 11.
The Sept. 23, Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 NJAC Player of the Week, LaBruna finished her fall season with a 16-1 mark at first singles, including a 6-0 mark in league play. She won the NJAIAW Tournament Flight A title Oct. 4-5, and was a semifinalist at the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Sept. 27-29.
LaBruna and Daubert combined for a 7-2 record at first doubles this fall, including a 4-2 mark against conference foes.
William Paterson finished its fall schedule with a 5-4 overall record and a 3-3 finish against NJAC competition.
