The Pioneers are making their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance overall (1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), all under the direction of 20th-year head coach
Erin Monahan. WP has earned victories in 10 of its last 12 outings, with the two losses during that stretch coming against undefeated No. 5/7 Montclair State (27-0), including a 75-54 decision in the championship game of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament Feb. 23. In fact, five of the team's seven losses this winter were against teams currently ranked in the national polls (three times against MSU, once against both No. 6 Amherst and No. 10 Catholic). William Paterson earned an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Tournament, despite losing two all-Americans to graduation a year ago and playing without a senior on its current roster.
A first-team all-conference selection, junior 5-9 guard
Floriana Borova (Cresskill, N.J./Cresskill) is averaging a league-best 20.1 points (19th in Division III), 5.0 assists (27th nationally) and 4.1 steals (eighth in Division III) per game, adding 5.7 rebounds per contest. Junior 5-11 forward
