SALEM, VA. – William Paterson junior guard/forward
Lance Brown (Teaneck, N.J./Paterson Catholic) earned his second all-America award when he was named an honorable-mention honoree by D3hoops.com on March 17.
Previously selected to the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) All-America Second Team, Brown was the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Year and a member of the NABC and D3hoops.com All-Atlantic Region First Teams as well as the All-NJAC First Team. He led the league in rebounding (9.5 rpg, 37th in Division III) and defensive rebounds (6.8 rpg), and ranked fourth in scoring (18.4 ppg) and offensive rebounds (2.7 rpg) and eighth in steals (1.5 spg). The Nov. 28 and Feb. 27 NJAC Player of the Week, Brown's 11 double-doubles rated 32nd nationally, and he had 23 double-digit scoring games (13 20+) and 11 double-digit rebounding totals.
William Paterson finished the season 24-4 overall and 11-2 in league play, winning the NJAC Tournament title to advance to the NCAA Tournament first round.
