Nadolny a Softball All-American

Senior Second Baseman Garners Third-Team Honors

Senior second baseman Lindsey Nadolny was named to the NFCA All-America Third Team.
WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson senior second baseman Lindsey Nadolny (Belford, N.J./Middletown North) garnered a spot on the 2011 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Third Team, the group announced May 19.

Nadolny earned her third consecutive bid to the NFCA All-East Region First Team (2009-11). A four-time all-conference honoree (2009 and 2011 first team, 2008 and 2010 second team), she was selected as the 2011 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Co-Player of the Year. Nadolny led the NJAC in batting average (.481, 22nd in Division III), slugging percentage (.725), on-base percentage (.521), hits (63), hits/game (1.66) and total bases (95), and ranked second in doubles/game (0.39, 39th nationally), tied-second in triples (four), third in stolen bases (21), tied-third in doubles (15), fourth in triples/game (0.11) and steals/game (0.55), fifth in runs/game (0.87), eighth in runs scored (33), tied-12th in home runs (three) and tied-16th in homers/game (0.08). Nadolny, who owned a .954 fielding percentage in 196 total chances, turned 15 double plays to help William Paterson rank first as of May 9 in the Division III statistics as a team (0.55 per game, 21 total). She hit .508 with six doubles, three triples, three home runs, 12 RBI, 22 runs, 10 steals, an .852 slugging percentage and a .552 on-base percentage in 18 league regular-season games, and on the WP career charts, she finished second in average (.412), hits (206) and home runs (13), tied-second in triples (13), third in doubles (40), fourth in RBI (99) and tied-fourth in runs (115). Nadolny had a hit in 34 of 38 games this year and reached base safely in all but two contests, she had an 18-game hit streak at end of season, and had 24 multi-hit games.
 
William Paterson finished 28-10 overall and 14-4 in league play, advancing to the NJAC Tournament.
