William Paterson (2-5, 1-5 NJAC) returns home Saturday, Oct. 29, to start a two-game homestand with a contest against Morrisville State (1-6, 1-5 NJAC). Kickoff at Wightman Stadium (1,500) will be at 12:00 p.m.

The Wayne Hills High School band will perform at halftime, weather permitting, as the Pioneers celebrate “Take A Kid to the Game Day.” All children 12 and under will be admitted for free.

William Paterson is 2-5 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC after a 35-7 loss at Cortland (5-2, 5-2 NJAC) Oct. 22.

Joe Salame (Lodi, N.J./Lodi) is 22-for-46 for 296 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in three games under center.
Junior tailback
Dawys German (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) has rushed 131 times for 643 yards (4.9 yards/carry) and three touchdowns, and has caught five passes for 66 yards and two scores. He ranks second in the league in rushing (91.9 yards/game). Freshman
Daryl Shuler (Peekskill, N.Y./White Plains) has picked up 102 yards on 23 carries (4.4 yards/attempt) while scoring once, and is ninth in the conference in kickoff return average (19.4 yards/attempt).
Sophomore
Mick Paye (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) has 13 receptions for 265 yards (20.4 yards/catch) and three touchdowns. Senior
Joe Muraglia, Jr. (Belleville, N.J./Queen of Peace) has caught 13 passes for 179 yards, and is sixth in the league in punt return average (5.8 yards/return).
Senior linebacker
Jim Hamill (Stanhope, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional), a member of the 2009 All-NJAC Honorable Mention Team, leads WP and is tied for fifth in the conference with 9.3 tackles per game (65 total, 24 solo, 4.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks). Doug Dudek (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) has collected 58 tackles (28 solo), an interception and 2.5 sacks. He is sixth in the NJAC in tackles for a loss (1.21 per game, 8.5 total) and tied for seventh in tackles (8.3 per game).
Senior defensive lineman
Damian DiIorio (Totowa, N.J./Passaic Valley Regional) is third in the league in sacks (5.0; 0.71 per game) and is tied for second in fumbles forced (three, 0.43 per game) and tied for fourth in tackles for a loss (9.5 total; 1.36/game) while adding 48 tackles (22 solo), breaking up two passes and returning one of his two recovered fumbles for a touchdown. Sophomore
Cory Mundt (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) is averaging 38.1 yards per punt (first in NJAC), and freshman
Robert Sinegra (Wharton, N.J./Morris Knolls), the Oct. 2 NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week, is 12-for-12 on PATs and 2-for-3 on field goals.
William Paterson returned nine offensive starters and six defensive starters from a 2010 team that got off to its best start since 1992, going 4-1 before mounting injuries took their toll for a 4-6 overall record and a 3-6 mark in NJAC play. The Pioneers, who welcomed back four all-conference selections, were predicted to finish seventh in the 2011 NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
Scouting the Mustangs
Morrisville State is 1-6 overall and 1-5 in league play after a 26-13 loss at No. 21 Kean (6-1, 5-1 NJAC) Oct. 22. The Mustangs were picked to finish ninth in the 2011 NJAC Preseason Coaches Poll.
Sophomore quarterback Lemar Johnson is 80-for-169 for 970 yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also is the team's leading rusher with 97 carries for 359 yards (3.7 yards/attempt) and three touchdowns. Freshman Sam Stonerock has 85 attempts for 315 yards (3.7 yards/carry) and two touchdowns. Sophomore Josh Powell has caught 18 passes for 296 yards and two scores, and he is second in the NJAC in kickoff return average (25.4 yards/return)
Junior linebacker Enrique Robinson leads the Mustangs with 51 tackles (20 solo, 3.5 for loss). Sophomore defensive back Jeremy Stewart has 44 stops (28 solo, 3.5 TFL), an interception and four pass breakups, and sophomore linebacker Travis French has 36 tackles (19 solo, 3.5 for loss, 1.5 sacks) and a fumble forced and recovered.
Freshman Pete Furey is averaging 30.6 yards per punt. Sophomore Juan Rios is 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 12-for-13 on PATs.
Morrisville State was 2-8 overall and 2-7 in the NJAC last year.
