PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior guard
Bobby Dunn (Garwood, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson Regional) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Week for March 1.
Dunn averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.0 steals in two wins to help the Pioneers secure their 10th NJAC title. He posted 10 points, six rebounds, three steals and four assists during a 55-37 NJAC Tournament semifinal victory against Ramapo Feb. 24, and was a key part of a defensive effort that held the NJAC's top scoring offense to a season-low 37 points. Dunn contributed 13 points, three assists and a game-high five assists during a 70-58 NJAC Tournament championship game victory against Richard Stockton Feb. 27, playing all but 30 seconds against the Ospreys.
No. 10 William Paterson (25-2, 12-1 NJAC) will host first- and second-round games of the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday, March 5-6, at the Rec Center. The Pioneers will face Albertus Magnus (22-6) at 8:00 p.m., and DeSales (22-5) will take on MIT (22-4) at 6:00 p.m., in first-round contests the evening of March 5, with the winners advancing to play March 6 at 7:00 p.m.
