PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior
Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) earned his third New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week award this season when he was again honored on Jan. 25.
Karas established a new school record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:00.54 Jan. 24 against The College of New Jersey, and he also won the 50 free (22.25) and was second in the 100 free (50.75) against the Lions. The senior was a triple winner as William Paterson defeated Division II Queens, 180-99, on Jan. 20, touching first in the 50 (22.52), 100 (49.97) and 200 (1:47.8) frees against the Knights.
Earlier this season, Karas was selected as the NJAC Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 2 and Nov. 23.
William Paterson (7-2, 0-2 NJAC) will next compete Saturday, Jan. 30, at Adelphi at 1:00 p.m.
