PITMAN, N.J. – Thirty-eight William Paterson student-athletes earned selections to the 2008-09 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic Teams, the league office announced June 11. Highlighting the Pioneers' award winners were a pair of first-team selections in senior field hockey forward
Meghan Hall (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.) and senior men's swimmer
Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic). Junior men's soccer goalkeeper
Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) and senior opposite hitter
Samantha Reed (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) were named to the NJAC All-Academic Second Team, while 34 other Pioneers earned honorable-mention laurels.
To be eligible for the NJAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior who competed in a conference-sponsored sport during the last year and achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.20.
