PITMAN, N.J. – William Paterson senior Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was selected as the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Nov. 23.

Karas established a pair of new pool records in the 50 (21.98) and 100 (49.51) frees during a 109-59 victory at Arcadia Nov. 18. He also helped turn in a winning time of 1:33.30 in the 200 free relay.

This marks the second time this season that Karas has been named the NJAC Swimmer of the Week (Nov. 2).

William Paterson (5-1, 0-1 NJAC) will enjoy a break for Thanksgiving, returning to the pool Saturday, Dec. 5, at FDU-Florham at 1:00 p.m.
