WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson senior forward Meghan Hall (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Twp.) and junior goalie Christina Auger (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) have been named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-South Atlantic Region First Team, while junior midfielder Jodi Feriod (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) was a second-team pick, the group announced Nov. 17.

Hall, the 2008 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Attack Player of the Year and a three-time member of the All-NJAC First Team (2006-08), led the Pioneers with 17 goals (fifth in NJAC; 0.89 per game, 23rd in Division III) and 14 assists (tied-first in conference; 0.74 per game, 10th in NCAA) for 48 points (third in league; 2.53 per game, 16th in Division III). Third in both career goals (42) and points (116) in William Paterson history, she was named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week twice this fall (Sept. 15, Oct. 6) and earned a spot on the womensfieldhockey.com National Weekly Honor Roll Oct. 23. Hall was selected to the 2007 NFHCA All-South Region First Team, and she will play in the 2008 NFHCA National Senior All-Star Game later Nov. 23.

Auger, the 2007 and 2008 NJAC Goaltender of the Year and a two-time member of the All-NJAC First Team (2007-08), led the NJAC in save percentage (.814, 31st in Division III) and shutouts (six), and ranked second in the conference in goals-against average (1.15, 25th in NCAA). Three times this season she was selected as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1, Oct. 13, Oct. 27).

Feriod was a first-team all-conference selection this fall after posting five goals and five assists to rank fourth for the Pioneers with 15 points. During her three years for the Pioneers, she has started 53 of 54 games and has tallied career totals of six goals and 14 assists for 26 points.

William Paterson, ranked 15th in the final NFHCA Top 20 Poll, posted a 15-4 overall record and a 4-2 NJAC slate, advancing to the semifinals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament as the top seed.
