55769A two-time all-American and four-time conference player of the year, former Pioneer Brittany LaBruna joined the William Paterson tennis staff during the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach.
 
LaBruna garnered four consecutive New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Player of the Year awards (2013-16), the first female student-athlete in league history to accomplish the feat in any sport. A 2013 and 2015 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) all-American after winning those years' ITA Northeast Regional titles, she finished her four-year career with a 67-6 singles record, including a perfect 23-0 mark in NJAC play, and was the 2013 NJAC Rookie of the Year. 
 
LaBruna was selected to four NJAC All-Singles Teams (2013-16) and three NJAC All-Doubles Teams (2013-14, 2016), and secured three NJAIAW Tournament Flight A singles titles (2014-16). She also advanced to the 2014 semifinals and 2016 third round of the ITA Small College Northeast Regional Championship.
 
A native of Bloomingdale, N.J., LaBruna graduated from WP in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
