William Paterson University Athletics

After spending four seasons on the William Paterson defensive line, Dan Jones will work with the program as an undergraduate assistant coach during the 2010 campaign.

A starter in all 10 games as a senior in 2009, he collected 20 tackles (3.0 for loss, 2.0 sacks) and a fumble recovery. Over four seasons (2006-09), Jones started 19 times in 25 appearances, posting 36 stops (6.5 TFL, 4.0 sacks) and adding a pass break-up.

A native of Riverhead, N.Y., Jones was selected to the 2009-10 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic Second Team and was an Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar. An honorable-mention NJAC all-academic honoree in 2007-08 and 2008-09, he is a Dean’s List student and is completing a bachelor’s degree in communication at William Paterson.
